Isabel Jansen (27 y/o, cultural scientist and cultural manager) works at Hamburg Kreativ Gesellschaft, a municipal institution founded with the purpose of promoting Hamburg’s creative industries and its stakeholders. Crowdfunding belongs to her field of activity in this position. In 2011 Hamburg Kreativ Gesellschaft launched a regional crowdfunding page called Nordstarter in cooperation with German crowdfunding pioneer Startnext. Nordstarter was created with the aim of adding a new finance option for stakeholders of the creative industries in Hamburg. Isabel Jansen leads a monthly workshop on crowdfunding, called “Nordstarter Crowdfunding Club”, which offers general information on crowdfunding and shows creatives how to run successfully a crowdfunding campaign. During her studies at Leuphana University in Lüneburg  she run her own successful crowdfunding campaign for a film production.
