Roy Cremers (1983) founded voordekunst in 2010 while working at Amsterdam Funds for the Arts, a public art fund in Amsterdam. Voordekunst became Europe's first crowdfunding website for arts and creativity. Main goals of voordekunst are engaging audiences with the arts and accelerating entrepreneurial skills among artists and arts organizations. Until now over 3,000 projects made use of voordekunst, backed by 140,000 donors. The success percentage is 80 percent. Roy started his career at the communications department of Stedelijk Museum Amsterdam and he also held position at Foam Photography Museum. He studied Art History and Communication and Information Sciences.
